Founded by Françoise Thinat, the International piano competition of Orléans reveals since 1994 young talents in the field of piano while valuing the piano repertoire from 1900 to today.

EXCELLENCE AND INNOVATION are the core values that drive the competition and its artistic activities: 

• The professional accompaniment of the laureates with the organisation of concerts, conferences, workshop -some of these events being organised jointly with some of the most prestigious musical institutions of France and worldwide
• The International piano competition of Orléans for youth « Brin d’herbe »
• A series of concerts in Orléans (Les Matinées du piano)
• The recording and production of an album with our laureates
• The broadcasting of the 20th and 21st centuries repertoire and the commission of new piano works.

The International piano competition Of Orléans, only contest in the world that focuses exclusively on the contemporary repertoire, is internationally recognized and has been set as a unique and exemplary model by the World Federation of International Music Competitions.
