The 9th edition of the International piano competition of Orléans for youth “Brin d’herbe” took place at the “Salle de l’Institut”, from July 3rd to 4th 2021.
The competition brought together young pianists around the repertoire from 1900 to the present day. A piano work entitled ‘Atelier d’Escher’, commissioned to the Spanish composer Mikel Urquiza, was premiered.
The Jury included the pianists Maroussia Gentet, Aline Piboule and Philippe Hattat — all three laureates of the International piano competition of Orléans — and awarded Prizes and Special prizes to the laureates, on the two levels of competition.
