Filippo Gorini is an internationally renowned pianist who previously appeared at the Matinées du Piano in 2022 as the winner of the First Prize at the Beethoven Competition in Bonn. He returns to open the 2026/27 season and the Competition with a performance of Beethoven’s legendary ‘Hammerklavier’ Sonata. On this occasion, he will also present a new work by the composer Yukiko Watanabe, written as part of her Seven Cities project, in which contemporary composition plays a central role.
