In 2002, Winston Choi won the Blanche Selva Prize, the Samson François Prize and the Yvonne Lefébure Scholarship at the Competition, and recorded a CD based on Elliott Carter, a composer who this year joins the list of our Special Prizes for the first time. The pianist, a member of this year’s jury, joins the soloists of the Orchestre Symphonique d’Orléans to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Competition, with a programme featuring a work by Gabriel Fauré as well as a solo part with works by Elliot Carter, Alban Berg and a work composed by the pianist himself.
